Adrija Roychowdhury

Adrija Roychowdhury has a master’s degree in European and Mediterranean Studies from New York University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi. 

She currently heads the Research section in Indian Express. She writes on history, culture, archaeology and conservation issues. She has also written extensively about Delhi’s history. Her first book, ‘Delhi, in Thy Name’ published by Rupa in 2021 traces the historical and political accounts of street names in the national capital. Currently she is working on her second book about the women’s suffrage movement in India.
