Biography

Ms. Nivedita Salar is an Assistant Lecturer at the Jindal Institute of Behavioral Sciences. Prior to joining JGU, she has experience as a Teaching Fellow and an Academic Counsellor. She pursued her MSc. in Forensic and Legal Psychology from Erasmus University, Rotterdam. Preceding her master’s degree, she completed her B.A. (Psychology Honors) from Ashoka University, followed by a one-year Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Studies and Research (Psychology), from Ashoka as well. Her master’s thesis focused on the differences in responses to sexual assault resulting from racial differences in the victim-offender dyad.

She teaches elective courses at the intersection of law and psychology, along with Practicum courses for JIBS Master students. Her research interests lie in the domain of criminal psychology and criminology, specifically cybercriminology, technology-facilitated gender-based violence, and AI-facilitated cyberviolence
