Biography

Soumya specializes in educational psychology, focusing on the cognitive factors that influence learning and performance. Her research explores how cognitive processes affect academic achievement, particularly among children with visual impairments, a study funded by N.C.E.R.T. She has published papers on the interplay between cognitive development and academic performance in the context of disabilities. Currently, Soumya's research interests center on innovative educational models that enhance cognitive engagement and inclusivity. She aims to investigate how these models can transform contemporary inclusive educational practices in India and their potential impact on higher education reform. By examining cognitive strategies within diverse learning environments, she seeks to contribute to a more effective and inclusive educational landscape.
