Biography

Caroline Agboola is an Associate Professor at Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS), O.P Jindal Global University. Also, she is the Deputy Director of the Centre for Criminology and Forensic Studies (CCFS) at JIBS. Her multidisciplinary professional experience cuts across the fields of Sociology, Criminology and Education. Her areas of research interests are Sociology, Criminology, Sociology of Crime, Female crime, Qualitative Research, Open Distance Learning (ODL), e-Learning, and Sociology of Education. She has published journal articles in peer-reviewed journals. She was a National Research Foundation (NRF) Scarce Skills Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, and an Open Distance Learning (ODL) Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of South Africa, South Africa. She serves as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals. Also, she has presented academic papers at several international conferences. She is a member of the International Sociological Association (ISA), Criminological and Victimological Society of Southern Africa (CRIMSA), South African Sociological Association (SASA), and Canadian Sociological Association (CSA). The courses that she has taught are Criminological Theories, Explanation of Crime, Rehabilitation and Correctional Psychology, Contemporary Criminological Issues, Introduction to Sociology, Gender Based Violence and Intervention, and Research Methods. Currently, she teaches Theories of Crime, Rehabilitation and Correctional Psychology and Gender Based Violence and Intervention at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU).
