Biography

Dr. Divya Dubey serves as an Assistant Lecturer and Assistant Director at Centre for Victimology and Psychological Studies (CVPS) at Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS), O. P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat, Haryana. She has completed her Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology from Amity University, Lucknow Campus. She completed her Masters from Lucknow University with specialization in Clinical and Organizational Psychology. She completed her one-year Professional Post-Graduate Diploma in Forensic Psychology from National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar, Gujarat, where she got trained in number of tools used in detection of deception as Polygraph, Layered Voice Analysis (LVA), Brain Electrical Oscillation Signature Profiling (BEOS) and Suspect Detection System (SDS). She studied Professional Diploma in Criminal Profiling and Crime Scene Analysis from The Forensic Criminology Institute, Alaska, United States and earned Diplomat Status in Criminal Profiling from International Association of Forensic Criminologist (IAFC).

She also has a licence in operating Layered Voice Analysis (LVA 6.50), Professional Investigation Focus Tool from Nemesysco, Israel. She also worked as a Project Assistant in one of the DST Project in the Department of Cognitive and Brain Sciences at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. She also worked as a counsellor in Sabarmati Jail, Ahmedabad, Gujarat and Tihar Jail, New Delhi, providing Psychological First Aid to offenders and also worked on their correctional programme. She has also worked as a Consultant in Risk and Threat department in Cyber security organization in Dubai, where she is responsible in imparting training

and lectures on LVA 6.50 to Government and Private entities, including Dubai Police and Ministry of Defence, Abu Dhabi. She also worked as an Executive Director in one of the consultancy in Dubai, A to Z Consultancy, Dubai. She also worked as an Adjunct Faculty in Amity University, Dubai. She was invited as a subject expert on News channel, Zee Hindustan in the capacity of a Forensic Psychologist to discuss Psychological Autopsy in Sushant Singh case.

Dr. Dubey teaches a range of courses across the fields of psychology, forensic psychology, law, criminal psychology, and community engagement. At Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences, she teaches core courses such as Forensic and Investigative Psychology , Psychological Assessment and Community Psychology, along with elective courses including Law Enforcement and Crime Prevention, Psychology of Peace and Conflict and Mind Games in Crime. Prior to joining JIBS, she taught postgraduate courses such as Introduction to Forensic Psychology, Psychological Practices in Law, Introduction to Personality Theories, and Foundations of Physiological Psychology. Her teaching emphasizes the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical and applied perspectives, preparing students for careers in psychology, law, criminal justice, and related fields.
