Samira Mathias is Assistant Lecturer. She graduated from the University of Oxford with a Bachelor of Civil Law (2021) and from Gujarat National Law University with an integrated Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law degree (2020). 

Her teaching and research interests lie in legal and political philosophy, public international law, transitional justice, and constitutional theory. She has also been a research assistant at the United Nations International Law Commission, and a legal trainee with non-governmental organisations working on human rights in Germany and Sri Lanka. Prior to joining Jindal, she also worked as an associate with a corporate law firm on transactional and advisory work.  

While at law school, she mooted extensively, winning awards at the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, the Red Cross International Humanitarian Law Moot, the Henry Dunant Memorial International Humanitarian Law Moot and the Monroe E Price Media Law Moot Court Competition. In 2019, she was a Rhodes scholarship finalist.
