Oiswarjya completed her LL.M in International Commercial and Economic Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Her degree was fully funded by the William Ross Murray Scholarship and the International Students House Bursary. At SOAS, she was awarded the Yusuf Ali Grant. She wrote her LL.M dissertation on the challenges of enforcing foreign arbitral awards in India, which yielded her a Distinction grade. She was also engaged as a Research Assistant to Dr. Emilia Onyema (Professor, International Commercial Arbitration).

Oiswarjya graduated with a B.A.LL.B (Hons.) from the Department of Law, University of Calcutta wherein she holds the university-highest score in Alternative Dispute Resolution. Thereafter, she joined Sinha & Co., Kolkata wherein she worked closely with and under the mentorship of Mr. Paritosh Sinha (Ld. Advocate-on-Record for the State of West Bengal). In her two years as an Associate, she undertook matters both in the capacity of a solicitor as well as counsel. Her key areas of work included arbitration (domestic and foreign), commercial litigation and mediation, primarily in the infrastructure, energy, mining and non-banking financial sectors.

Her core research interests lie in Dispute Resolution with a focus on Commercial Arbitration; Public International Law including Investment Law and Climate Change Policy as well as the Law of Contracts. At JGLS, she is a Fellow at the Centre for International Investment and Trade Laws (CIITL).
