Ashiv is currently a Lecturer at Jindal Global Law School. He is also a member of JGLS ADR Society Faculty Board. He holds LL.M. in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary University of London with Distinction in Dissertation titled ‘Arbitrability of Patent Issues – An analysis from Indian and Global Perspective’. He has published several articles in peer reviewed Indian as well as International law journals. His primary areas of interest are Alternate Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, Indian Penal code, Law of Torts, Civil Procedure Code, etc. Being an avid mooter, he has represented his law school in Stetson 21st International Environmental Moot Court Competition and 33rd All India Inter-University Moot Court Competition organized by Bar Council of India.

During his studies, he completed internships under Justice T.S. Thakur earlier when he was Chief Justice of India and later when he was an independent arbitrator, National Green Tribunal, Senior Advocate, etc. After completing his masters, he got an opportunity to work with a law firm in London, where he got an insight on the working of solicitors and barristers of UK. Prior to joining JGLS, he practiced law with specialization in constitutional, civil, criminal and arbitration matters, appearing before various Tribunals, District Courts and High Court of J&K.
