Rajat Shukla

Rajat Shukla obtained his undergraduate degree in Law in 2019, from New Law College, Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune, and his LL.M. in Corporate and Financial Laws and Policy in 2020, from Jindal Global Law School, where he was the recipient of the Savitri Jindal Scholarship. During the course of his B.A.LL.B. and LL.M., he interned with the Corporate and Litigation Teams of several law firms, such as King Stubb & Kasiva and Reddy & Reddy. As an intern he has worked in the areas of Civil and Commercial Laws. He has also worked as a Legal Trainee with Sapphire and Sage Law Offices, where he was in the Corporate Advisory Team. As a Legal Trainee in Sapphire and Sage, he was responsible for drafting Commercial Contracts and giving legal advice, primarily to Start-Ups in their early stages.

His LL.M. thesis was on Pre-Packaged Insolvency regime and how it could be the way forward in India, for the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. His areas of specialization during his LL.M. were Corporate Insolvency Law, Mergers and Acquisitions and Competition Law. His research interest is centred around Bankruptcy and Competition Laws.
