Sahibnoor Singh Sidhu is a B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) 2021 graduate from JGLS where he was awarded the Outstanding Overall Performance Award apart from being a semi-finalist in the FDI International India Arbitration Moot and the 5th IBFD Global Tax Treaty Convention. During his student career, he contributed to the university in multiple positions on the student council, election commission and as a student researcher with the Constitutional Law Center.
He subsequently completed his LL.M. in Business Laws from the University of Toronto in 2022 with a special focus on tax and labour laws, where he also served Prof. Robert Thompson as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.
His academic and research interests include taxation, labour law and arbitration. He is also cultivating his interest in comparative constitutional theory and jurisprudence. His current working paper is based on constitutional borrowing with a focus on comparative constitutional law and trans-judicial communication.

Before joining JGLS, as a faculty member in July 2022, Prof. Sidhu was a teaching fellow at the University of Toronto (as a part of the Faculty of Law Fellowship obligations). In his final year, he worked as a paralegal with the Office of the Attorney General, Dr. Anmol Rattan Sidhu at the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh and had a brief stint in the Chambers of Hon’ble Mr Justice Hrishikesh Roy.
