Prof. Gaurav Pathak is an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School. He holds a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow, and an LL.M. in Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law under the European Legal Informatics Study Programme (EULISP) from Leibniz University, Hannover, Germany, and Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan. Gaurav was the only Asian EULISP Scholar in a cohort of fifteen students selected from across the world. In Japan, he was also awarded the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) scholarship.

Prior to entering academia, Gaurav worked as a dispute resolution attorney with a New Delhi-based law firm for over five years. News Reports covering his work have been published in The Hindu, Hindustan Times, Bar and Bench etc. He has also appeared in several TV discussions on issues of technology law, and governance.

Gaurav serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Intellectual Property Rights and is the Journal Editor for the Virtualis Journal. He is also an Advisory Board Member of the Contemporary Law Forum. Gaurav’s research interests are Technology Law, Consumer Protection, and Disputes Resolution.
