Aparna B George obtained her Master’s degree in Law (LLM) from the University of Cambridge, UK. It was from the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) Kochi that she acquired her BA LLB (Hons) degree. While studying in both the institutions she was actively involved in their Moot Court Society, representing India at the Leiden Sarin Air Law Moot in Jakarta Indonesia during her under graduate years and becoming “Advocate Of The Year 2018-2019” at the BPP University Law School London while doing her Masters. She was the Captain of the Wolfson College Debate Society and President of the Wolfson College Speaker’s Society in Cambridge.

She has presented papers on various topics at different Law Conferences. Her topics varied from the world refugee crisis to corruption in a democracy to the role of judiciary in protecting the rights of the elderly to Uniform Civil Code.

She was associated with Nani Palkhiwala Arbitration Centre, Human Rights Law Network and the law firms ALMT and Surana & Surana.

Her area of interest is International Law with special reference to asymmetrical warfare.

  • A paper titled Transnational Crime at Sea in the Indo-Pacific was accepted to be published in the Asian Journal of Criminology.
