Dr. Swapnil Dhanraj

Prof. (Dr.) Swapnil is trained in sociology with a PhD from the Centre for the Study of Social Systems, Jawaharlal Nehru University. His doctoral research focuses on the politics of nativism in Maharashtra. He received his M.Phil (Sociology) from Centre for the Study of Social Systems, JNU. He obtained his M.A degree from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Swapnil specializes in political sociology and his core research focuses on social change and marginalized communities, social identities, social stratification, ethnicity, and social movements. He has published papers based on his interest areas and fieldwork in various social sciences journals.
