Courses and programmes in JGU have been designed to comply with the principles of Outcomes Based Teaching and Learning promoting the use of a variety of teaching methodologies including experiential learning; A statement of Graduate Attributes developed by JGU provides a common denominator for Programme learning outcomes which in turn provide a focus for the development of teaching and learning strategies and assessment tasks. This, combined with the faculty to student ratio of 1:13 (as at 2018) has helped in delivering student-centred learning.
The curriculum for all courses and programmes are regularly reviewed by the schools and changes deemed necessary are implemented. The Annual Programme Review Report System enables a comprehensive review of the performance of each of the academic programme.
