The Centre was represented by Prof. Paavni Jain and Prof. Spriha Bhandari at a strategic roundtable on the future of Indian LegalTech, hosted by the Indian LegalTech Network (ILTN) in collaboration with IDEATE Lab, O.P. Jindal Global University. The roundtable brought together law firm leaders, LegalTech entrepreneurs, investors, and policy experts to discuss the development of a Product Assessment Matrix, a framework intended to support the evaluation and adoption of legal technology solutions. Discussions focused on key challenges relating to cost, system integration, data governance, transparency, and trust between technology vendors and legal service providers. Participants emphasised the importance of robust governance mechanisms and shared standards in fostering accountability, building confidence in LegalTech tools, and supporting their effective adoption across the legal ecosystem.
