O.P Jindal Global University has released its inaugural AI Governance Report 2026, titled Reimagining Education for a New Era. The report co-produced by the Office of Rankings, Benchmarking and Institutional Transformation and the Cyril Shroff Centre for AI, Law and Regulation. This report developed by the Office of Rankings, Benchmarking and Institutional Transformation (ORBIT) led by Professor Padmanabha Ramanujam, Dean of Academic Governance, and supported by the Centre, offers a comprehensive account of JGU’s evolving engagement with artificial intelligence.

The report documents JGU’s AI journey across teaching, research, administration, and governance, presenting it as a structured and reflective institutional effort. The report documents JGU’s evolving approach to responsible AI integration across teaching, research, and institutional governance, and positions CSCAILR as a foundational driver of the University’s AI strategy. The report recognises CSCAILR’s record in under six months of operation: over six policy submissions, organisation of thought-leading events, our initiatives for and at the AI Summit, and our proposed degree program. “Artificial intelligence is not merely a technological shift; it is a redefinition of how knowledge is created, shared, and governed. Universities must embrace this transformation with both ambition and responsibility-ensuring that innovation is guided by ethics, and progress strengthens, rather than compromises, the core values of academic integrity, critical inquiry, and human judgment.”
