The Centre is delighted to share that students from Jindal Global Law School and the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy emerged as winners of the La Trobe x Cisco AI City Modernisation Innovation Sprint. The winning team developed Anumati, a compliance and risk-management platform designed to enhance safety and regulatory oversight for pandals and large-scale religious gatherings. By combining artificial intelligence, satellite data, structured compliance mechanisms, and coordinated planning tools, the platform enables authorities to identify and mitigate potential crowd-management and infrastructure risks before events take place.

The project was recognised for its innovative integration of technology, governance, regulatory compliance, and public-safety considerations in addressing a complex civic challenge. This achievement highlights the potential of interdisciplinary collaboration and demonstrates how technology-driven solutions can contribute to more effective and proactive public administration.
