Naveen Jindal Young Global Research Fellowship
O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) is a research-intensive university that is deeply committed to its core institutional values of impact, diversity, excellence, academic freedom and sustainability. JGU introduced the Naveen Jindal Young Global Research Fellowship with a view to promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and academic growth among young Ph.D. scholars and faculty members. This one-year fellowship is designed to host and cultivate a dynamic intellectual environment for researchers from diverse disciplines across the globe.
Fellowship Components
The fellowship is structured around three key components:
Collaborative Research
Participants will form interdisciplinary teams and carry out collaborative research. These projects will encourage participants to diversify their research areas, and explore unique solutions to their research problems.
Innovation Building
Participants will attend research workshops conducted by leading experts in various fields. These workshops will cover wide-ranging topics such as research methodology, academic writing, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Participants will be exposed to newer ideas and they will be encouraged to take innovation seriously.
Mentorship
Each participant will be thoroughly supervised by a senior faculty at JGU. Moreover, each participant will be given a chance to provide guidance and support to students and other participants. Mentors will help participants refine their research ideas, navigate academic challenges, and prepare for future career opportunities.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold an postgraduate degree or be in the advanced stages of their doctoral research.
Applicants must be 42 years of age or younger at the time of application.
Early-career faculty members, and postdoctoral researchers, and Ph.D. candidates from accredited institutions worldwide are encouraged to apply.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.

Fellowship Details
The fellowship aims to equip researchers with the skills and knowledge necessary to conduct independent research. By the end of the fellowship, scholars should be able to produce high-quality research that addresses global challenges and proposes innovative solutions. The fellows will commit to dedicated hours of writing and research, along with attending lectures by distinguished guests, and conferences. The fellows will be expected to engage in policy drafting, participate in community projects and involve in innovation drives. They will also be exposed to local culture, cuisine and experiences which will add to their research output.

Roles and
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the fellows will be to carry out rigorous research in their chosen areas. Publication of at least 1 paper in a Scopus-indexed journal is the minimum expectation of the university.
