Swati Narayan is an Associate Professor at the School for Public Health and Human Development at O.P. Jindal Global University. Her research focuses on the analysis of human development and social policies from an inter-disciplinary perspective, especially in India and across South Asia.
She has been a visiting faculty at the National Law School of India University and visiting fellow at the Institute for Human Development. She has completed her doctorate from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and post-doctorate from the National Institute of Advanced Studies.
She has Masters’ degrees from the School of Oriental and African Studies and TISS. She is also an alumna of the London School of Economics and Political Science. For more than a decade, she has also been an activist with a range of civil society organisations and worked with international non-government organisations including Oxfam GB.
