Internships
Jindal School of Journalism and Communication’s alumni Ms. Reet Kaur Sahni, Class of 2024 and ex-president of the Student's Council has started anchoring on the National Television for NewsX Network.
Reet joins other JC alumni from her senior batches in reading the news on national networks like Chetna Vasudevan on India Today TV, Ishita Dang on ET TV and Ashawari Jindal on NewsX Network.
Jindal School of Journalism and Communication students and alumni explore media, communications, and cinema building networks across industries.
Our alumni stories are impressive: Satvika Mahajan is the political reporter at The Hindu. Pragya Deb Barman was reporting the city for Millenium Post and covered the ’24 general elections at Dr. Prannoy Roy’s Dekoder. Harleenn Agarwal was reporting for the PTI, Shitij Sharma works for the Canadian government, Bhavya Vemulapali is a media consultant with UAE-India CEPA Council, Himanya Chaddha was selected to lead RBI’s Innovation Hub and Ashima Sharma is the London correspondent for Argus Media covering global energy and climate beats. We have a significant number of alumni working in multiple sectors across the world.
JSJC’s faculty members and the internship committee along with the Office of Career Services help students find job opportunities during the summer and winter vacations. They have consistently got bylines reporting for newspapers such as The Times of India, The Hindustan Times, The Indian Express, The Hindu, The Tribune and Business Standard, magazines such as Outlook and India Today and new media organisation such as Quint, Newsminute, Newslaundry, The Wire and Scroll. They have also explored opportunities in social sector organisation, production houses, and other communication firms.
