The discipline of economics is mathematically intensive and analytically rigorous. The curriculum of B.A. Economics Honours is designed to develop analytical and problem-solving skills. The first 2 years of the B.A. Hons. Eco programme are dedicated to building a strong foundation in quantitative skills and core economic sub-fields of Micro, Macro-Economics and Econometrics. In the third year, the programme allows a student to take up electives that match their interests. It also helps students develop their soft skills such as writing, reading, speaking and presentation.
*Special focus on statistical programming languages such as R, STATA etc. are given both within the course and also as regular workshops.
