The Crime Sciences Club is a student-led initiative established by members of the forensic and investigative cohort under the guidance of the faculty coordinator, Prof. Divya Dubey. The club is dedicated to advancing student learning and engagement in forensic sciences, with a particular emphasis on forensic psychology.

Aim

The primary aim of the club is to provide a platform where students can complement their academic learning with interactive, practical, and collaborative experiences. The initiative seeks to foster critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while promoting awareness of forensic psychology and related disciplines.

Activities

The club offers a variety of academic and co-curricular activities, including:

  • Expert Sessions and Masterclasses featuring professionals from forensic psychology, criminology, law, and related fields.
  • Mock Crime Scenes and Simulations designed to provide hands-on investigative experience.
  • Movie Screenings and Trivia Nights that encourage critical discussion on the portrayal of forensic sciences and reinforce subject knowledge.
  • Peer-led Case Discussions allowing students to engage in debates and presentations on real and fictional cases.

Through these activities, the Crime Sciences Club aims to create a vibrant and intellectually stimulating environment, equipping students with practical insights and fostering a spirit of inquiry and collaboration within the forensic sciences community.
