As part of Autism Awareness Month, the Centre for Community Mental Health, in collaboration with the Centre for Neurodiversity Studies, is organising an insightful panel discussion on the topic:
“Diverse Perspectives on Autistic Experiences”

Date: Thursday, 3rd April 2025 Time: 11:10 a.m. to 1:10 p.m.
Venue: Big Bang Conference Room (F-14), Prithviraj Jindal Academic Block (T-1)

This panel brings together powerful voices from the autism space, including:

  • A queer psychotherapist working with neurodiverse adults and advocating for gender and disability inclusion,
  • A caregiver and advocate, who is also the mother of an autistic child,
  • A special educator and holistic support builder who works directly with children on the spectrum.

The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Vasundharaa S. Nair, Assistant Professor at the Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences and Deputy Director of the Centre for Community Mental Health.

This is a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of autism from multiple lived and professional perspectives. The session will cover how autism manifests in different areas of life, the role of caregivers and support systems, and how we as a community can work towards building a more inclusive society.

All students are warmly invited to attend and participate in what promises to be a thought-provoking and meaningful conversation.
