As part of its diverse research portfolio spanning various domains of behavioural sciences, the Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS) is examining the role of museums as instruments of soft power in diplomacy.  Through interdisciplinary research, JIBS is studying how museum exhibitions, heritage preservation, and cultural exchanges can act as subtle yet powerful tools of statecraft, bridging political divides and promoting dialogue beyond formal diplomatic channels.

This work highlights the growing importance of culture in global engagement, positioning museums as not just repositories of history, but as dynamic agents in the diplomacy of the 21st century.
