Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS), in collaboration with the International Bridge Building Grant provided by the Society for Personality and Social Psychology (SPSP), extends an invitation for a hybrid panel discussion on “Understanding Racial Discrimination in India and the Global South.”

Event Details:

  • Location: Hybrid format (Big Bang Conference Room; Zoom link will be shared with registered participants, closer to the event)

The panel discussion aims to critically examine the nuances of racial discrimination in India and the Global South, exploring its intersections with caste, ethnicity, and colonial legacies. The panel will also reflect on insights from policies, activism, and academic discourse in the Global North, assessing what can be adapted to local contexts. Furthermore, complimentary year-long SPSP memberships will be provided to a few students and early-career researchers!
