Jgu Alumni Recognition Awards
In line with our commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and social responsibility, we are proud to announce O.P. Jindal Global University (‘JGU’) presents the JGU Alumni Recognition Awards, which will be honoured to the alumni on 26th January 2025.
Award Categories
The Jindal Institutional Leadership Award is the most prestigious honor bestowed upon alumni who have made distinguished and exceptional contributions to the University. This award is dedicated to recognizing alumni whose impactful service has greatly enhanced the university’s growth, community, and global standing through exemplary leadership and initiatives in areas critical to JGU’s mission.
Nomination Criteria:
Nominees for the Award should have demonstrated significant contributions in one or more of the following areas: Apply Now
Support for Key University Programs, Projects, or Initiatives
Involvement in university programs or research initiatives that advance JGU’s operations and academic offerings.
Mentorship of Current JGU Students
Providing guidance, support, and professional development to students, enhancing their academic and career prospects.
Establishment of Chaired Professorships
Initiating or supporting chaired professorships to foster academic excellence and attract distinguished faculty.
Creation of Scholarships for Students
Promoting student access to education through the creation or support of scholarship.
Leadership in Fundraising Events or Outreach
Leading successful fundraising initiatives to bolster JGU’s resources and strategic priorities.
Additional Contributions
Engaging in unique initiatives or community-building efforts that demonstrate ongoing commitment to JGU.
The Entrepreneurial Excellence Award recognizes and honors the remarkable achievements of alumni who have demonstrated outstanding success and innovation in entrepreneurship. This award aims to celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to the entrepreneurial landscape through visionary leadership, creativity, and a commitment to fostering entrepreneurial skills and opportunities within JGU community.
Nomination Criteria:
Nominees for the Entrepreneurial Excellence Award should demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following areas: Apply Now
Founding or Leading Ground breaking Ventures
Establishing and leading businesses or organizations that showcase exemplary creativity, leadership, and foresight.
Promoting Entrepreneurial Skills Among Students
Engaging with JGU students to enhance their entrepreneurial capabilities through mentorship, workshops, or training programs.
Supporting or Establishing Incubation Centers
Contributing to the establishment of incubation or research centres at JGU that promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
Contributing to JGU’s Entrepreneurial Development
Actively participating in initiatives that develop JGU as a centre of entrepreneurship and business excellence.
The Social Impact Award recognizes and honours JGU alumni who have made significant and lasting contributions to society through their work, advocacy, or initiatives. This award aims to celebrate individuals whose efforts address pressing social issues, promote equity and inclusion, empower communities, and advance environmental sustainability.
Nomination Criteria:
Nominees for the Social Impact Award should demonstrate impactful contributions in one or more of the following areas: Apply Now
Social Issues
Initiatives focused on poverty alleviation, education, healthcare, and other critical social challenges.
Equity and Inclusion
Advocacy for gender equality, racial equity, disability rights, and other efforts to promote inclusiveness.
Community Well-Being
Support for marginalized groups and initiatives aimed at community empowerment.
Environmental Sustainability
Engagement in conservation efforts, climate action, and waste reduction initiatives.
How to Apply?
Nomination Form
The award assessment is conducted through a comprehensive nomination form structured to capture the scope and depth of nominees' contributions across key focus areas. Nominees will be required to provide sufficient evidence to ensure a more objective selection process for determining the winners.
The screening and selection of award winners will be conducted by a Screening Board and a Jury. Further details regarding the process will be shared shortly.
Who are Eligible?
The awards are open to all alumni of JGU, across all graduation years. The JGU Alumni Recognition Awards focus primarily on achievements from 01.01.2022 to 01.01.25. Submissions may be based on work that commenced before this period if there was significant activity within the provided dates.
When to Apply
The nomination form will go live on 25th November 2024 and the deadline for submitting the form is 11:00 PM (IST) on Monday, 13th January 2025.
