Shikha Patel has earned her LL.B degree from the Government Law College of Mumbai in 2018. She is an alumna of Jindal Global Law School wherefrom she has obtained her Masters degree in Corporate and Financial Law and Policy in 2020, graduating as one of the top ten students of her batch. Prior to JGLS, Ms. Patel has practiced at the Hon’ble High Court of Bombay, City Civil and Sessions Court, National Company Law Tribunal, Debt Recovery Tribunal and State Consumer Forum where she has appeared for and argued multiple property law, arbitration, testamentary, corporate, and consumer disputes. Through her work, Ms. Patel has gained extensive experience and knowledge of property laws and ad-hoc arbitrations.
Ms. Patel’s research interests include International Commercial Arbitration, International Dispute Resolution, Climate Change Arbitration, Intellectual Property Arbitration, Investment Arbitration, Commercial Contracts, and Competition Law. Apart from academic interests, Ms. Patel has a penchant for reading ancient history, mythology, and astrophysics and also indulges herself in creative writing, classical dancing, travel, and stargazing.
