Giovanni Serges (born in Catania on 21 July 1951) is a full professor of constitutional law at the Department of Jurisprudence of the University “Roma Tre” of which – since 2016 – he is the Director. He started his university career in 1980 as a researcher at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Rome “LaSapienza” and then, once he became associate professor (in 1996), he moved to the University of Perugia until 1999. He was then called to the “Roma Tre” University in 2000, where he currently teaches as full professor. He also taught at the University of Catania and “Sapienza” of Rome. He is national secretary of the Italian Association of Constitutionalists. He is the author of over seventy publications, including three monographs, on real issues of constitutional law and participated as speaker at education conferences of national importance both in Italy and abroad. He has held cycles of lessons at the Public Higher School Administration, at the Center for Advanced Defense Studies (CASD), at the Institute of Legislative Studies (ISLE).
