Prof. Krittika Singh is an Assistant Professor at the Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal University and specializes in law of the sea, environmental resource governance and sustainable development. Prior to this, she was working as a Researcher at the Arctic Centre, University of Lapland, Finland. She holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) degree from the Fletcher School, Tufts University (2016-2018) and a bachelor in law (B.Com LLB) from Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar (2008-2013). While at Fletcher, she led the Arctic Initiative and organized the yearly Arctic Conferences (2017, 2018). She was awarded a research and travel grant to write her thesis on the interlinkages between International Law of the Sea and International Indigenous Rights Law, which contributed to a joint article on the topic (Ocean Yearbook, Volume 33, 2019). She has also written and published on aspects of marine environmental pollution and historic rights in law of the sea. Her current research focuses on deep-sea bed mining regulation, India’s Arctic policy and governance linkages between the Arctic and the Himalayas. She is passionate about trekking and mountaineering and is a national level basket baller.
