Mazyar obtained his LL.B. degree from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi in 2014. In 2015, he obtained his LL.M in Maritime Law from University of Southampton. Afterwards, we went on to obtain his M.Phil. in International Law from Centre for International Legal Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2018. On the work front, prior to studying law, Mazyar served as a merchant navy office for a few years and even worked in the operations department of Cargill India. As a lawyer he has practised in various courts, including Delhi High Court and Supreme Court of India. In 2019, Mazyar qualified University Grants Commission (UGC)- National Eligibility Test (NET) in Law. Before joining O.P. Jindal Global University, he was teaching at Central University of Kashmir as a guest faculty. His research interests include International Environmental Law; Maritime Law and Law of the sea.
