Jayanti completed her undergraduate degree in Political Science from University of Delhi and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, in 2018. She worked at the Centre of Civil Society, where she conducted research on issues pertaining to the right to education and livelihood. As, a law student she served as the Co-Convenor of the Moot Court Society at CLC. She has worked on a project with the Government of Bihar to study the efficacy of the All-Women Police Stations in increasing crime reporting by women.

She went on to pursue her LL.M. from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she specialised in IT, media and communications law. At the LSE, she served as the Secretary of the Pro-Bono Matters Committee where she conducted research for organisations like the Privacy International. Jayanti’s key research areas are online freedom of speech, data protection law and constitutional law.
