Ira Chadha-Sridhar is currently on-leave from JGU to pursue a Ph.D. in Jurisprudence at the University of Cambridge as a Cambridge International and King’s College Scholar. During her time teaching at JGU, she taught courses in Jurisprudence, the Interpretation of Statutes and Family Law.

Ira secured her LL.M. degree from the University of Cambridge in 2018-19 where she graduated with a First Class Honours, ranked 2nd in a cohort of 180 students and was awarded the Law Faculty’s George Long Prize for Jurisprudence. In 2018, she completed a B.A. LL.B. from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences in Kolkata. Here, she was awarded two University Gold Medals, the NUJS Award for Best Debater, the European Society of International Law Mooting Prize. She also served as the Editor of the NUJS Law Review.

Ira’s research interests lie at the intersection(s) of law, philosophy and feminist theory. She is also associated with the Centre for Public Law and Jurisprudence at JGLS.
