Debosmita Choudhuri blends her love for teaching with a deep understanding of the law. She earned her LL.M. from the London School of Economics and Political Science, focusing on Corporate and Commercial Law. Before this, she completed her BBA-LL.B. at ICFAI University, where she graduated at the top of her class with the University Gold Medal. Now teaching at O.P. Jindal Global University, Debosmita leads courses on White Collar and Economic Crime.
In 2023, she shared her insights at the UK Parliament, speaking about property rights for minority immigrants. Debosmita's legal experience spans several prestigious organizations. She has worked with the Ministry of External Affairs, the Competition Commission of India, and the National Human Rights Commission of India. Her time in the UK included roles at Foot Anstey LLP and Pennington Manches Cooper LLP. She has also delved into research on financial crime and antitrust cases.
Beyond her work in academia and law firms, Debosmita dedicates her time to pro bono consultancy. She offers free legal help to those in need, focusing on financial inclusion. This blend of teaching, practical experience, and community service shapes Debosmita's approach to law and education.
