Biography

Bedasruti Das is a dedicated legal professional with a strong academic background and significant experience in teaching, research, and legal practice. She holds an LL.M in Corporate and Commercial Law from the University of Sheffield (2019) and a B.A., LL.B. from the University of Calcutta (2016). Additionally, she earned her Bar Practice Qualification from the Bar Council of India in 2017, allowing her to practice as an advocate.

Currently, Bedasruti serves as a Lecturer of Law and was the Assistant Dean, Office of Student Affairs & Initiatives, at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGLS), Sonipat. Alongside her teaching duties, she works as a Research Associate at the Centre for Justice, Law, and Society (CJLS), focusing on law, justice, and marginalization in South Asia. Previously, she held teaching positions at ISBR College, Bengaluru, and Kalinga University, where she designed and developed legal curricula and guided students in various legal disciplines.

Her legal practice experience spans multiple years. She has served as a Chamber Junior with several prominent advocates, including Adv. Rajdeep Banerjee and Adv. Shibhnath Bhattacharya. 

Her roles involved legal research, drafting legal documents, and appearing in court for matters related to arbitration, writ petitions, SARFAESI, and NCLT. She has also worked as a Legal Associate at N & B Associates and as a Law Officer at Upturn United Consultancy Private Limited, where she provided legal advisory services.

With expertise in corporate law, criminal law, and intellectual property, Bedasruti excels in legal research, teaching, and student mentorship, consistently contributing to both academic and professional legal spheres.
