Internship Route Map

  • As part of the skill-enhancement, students enrolled in the B.A. (Hons) in Human Rights programme are required to undergo mandatory internship for a period not less than 20 weeks. In a given semester, the duration of internship should be less than 3 weeks. Students have to submit the internship certificate and a 100-word internship report to the School, based on which internship grades would be awarded to students.
  • The OCS will explore opportunities for internships based on this Route Map. The Internship Data Bank for the students of B.A. (Hons) in Human Rights will also be populated using this Route Map.
  • The Programme Director, Deans, and Faculty Coordinators of the Programme will be advising students on the various opportunities available as per this Route Map.
  • The Programme Director, Deans, and Faculty Coordinators of the Programme will also advise students to help locate their interest in any particular internship within the larger framework created herein.
  • The Route Map will help students identify possible related opportunities and discuss the feasibility of the same with the OCS. The Route Map will help students stay focused on their internships, which will create a fine correlation between what they learn in classrooms and what the learn through internships.

Students will be sensitized about the various opportunities mapped herein based on their respective year of study through Open Houses and one-to-one interactions. The Route Map is only an ideal progression and is not meant to force students to take up internships in the areas provided herein. If students want to go beyond the scope of the Route Map, they can discuss the potential of their choices with the faculty coordinators and the OCS.
