Prof. Shachi holds an LL.M. Degree in Corporate and Financial Services Laws from National University of Singapore. She completed her B.L.S. LL.B. from Government Law College, Mumbai in 2017 and also qualified the Company Secretary course under full scholarship from The Institute of Company Secretaries of India in parallel. Her key research interests revolve around Banking laws and regulations, Financial laws, Central banking policies and Corporate laws. In line with her dissertation, she is currently researching on the disruptive innovation brought by blockchain technology and crypto-currencies in the financial markets.

Before joining Jindal, Shachi has worked in an in-house legal team of a leading multinational bank, wherein she negotiated and closed on derivative contracts with the bank’s Asia-pacific clients. She has also previously interned at law firms and under a senior advocate. During her undergraduate studies, she was an avid mooter, won quiz competitions and was instrumental in setting-up the IDIA (Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access) chapter in Mumbai. She was awarded the J. Sagar Fellowship for Outstanding Leadership in IDIA in 2016. In her tenure as a Team Lead, her team conducted various sensitization sessions at municipal schools, selected promising law aspirants and trained them for entrance exams and organized fund-raiser sports leagues within the legal community.
