“Being a student at Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability not only allows me to enrich my knowledge in the field of environment but also allows me to get multiple opportunities. Recently I was the sole nominee from my university to receive a fully funded scholarship to attend a Student Week program at HSE St. Petersburg. This was the first ever such opportunity that was provided to a student from my university. During the program, I interacted with students from different interdisciplinary backgrounds and exchanged knowledge. I participated in the Social Sciences track, where I explored various topics, including Studying Cities to Learn About Urban Governance, the Struggle for Interpretation: The Role of Framing in Policy and many more.
In addition to these academic sessions, we engaged in several interactive events with students from the Higher School of Economics. These interactions provided valuable insights into their university life and offered a glimpse of the vibrant culture of St. Petersburg. The university also organized excursions to significant landmarks, including Peterhof, the Hermitage, and other iconic sites in the city. These excursions enriched our understanding of the historical and cultural context of Russia. I would like to thank my university for providing me with such an opportunity.”

“The professors as expected where according to world standards and were authorities in their respective subjects. We had Professors who had recently been part of important legislative groups like Prof. James Davey, who was in the advisory panel for the UK insurance law statute promulgated in 2015. I was also taught by leading practitioners in maritime law like Prof, Yvonne Batzz, Prof. Paul Todd, and Prof. Lorenzo. The teaching method of allowing the student to explore the subject on his own before one could approach the professor is one of many brownie points.”

“At the University of Bordeaux, the course taught there were more practical and less theoretical. By which we had much more exposure about the current environment of the market. And we could work upon the problems as a live case study by which we learnt in and outs of the market place.”
–Abhinav Bhatia, JGBS, Study Abroad at University of Bordeaux
“JSIA’s exchange program to National Chengchi University (NCCU) in Taiwan was one of the best learning experiences I’ve had. It helped me completely immerse in the local culture because all I did was eat, climb mountains, learned Chinese and made amazing memories for an entire semester”
