The outlook of O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) has always been to be a Global University of International repute by developing sustainable linkages with leading Universities & Institutions across the globe in the field of Higher Education and Research. Internationalization is a key area of continuous emphasis at JGU, and it is embedded within the University’s vision along with Social & Public Service. The Office of International Affairs & Global Initiatives (IAGI) at JGU was established at JGU in early 2017 with the objective of institutionalizing the internationalization of the University towards a truly global university with widespread opportunities for its students and faculty members. IAGI Office continuously aims to institutionalize, streamline and standardize the processes of JGU’s global outreach and expansion. The Office primarily has two streams of its operations – outbound team and inbound team – with a dedicated focus on creating international opportunities for JGU.

JGU was the host for APAIE 2025
O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) proudly served as the host university for the APAIE 2025 Conference and Exhibition, marking the first time this prestigious event was held in India. The conference took place from March 24 to 28, 2025, at Yashobhoomi (India International Convention & Expo Centre) in Dwarka, New Delhi. As an Institution of Eminence recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, JGU welcomed over 2,000 delegates from more than 60 countries. The university hosted an exclusive campus tour on March 28, 2025, offering attendees a glimpse into its state-of-the-art facilities and commitment to global citizenship and academic excellence.

Presidential Visit from UTokyo
The University of Tokyo (UTokyo) delegation led by their Vice President, Professor (Dr.) Yujin Yaguchi. Established in 1877, the University of Tokyo is one of Japan’s prestigious higher education establishments. In 2011, the university was ranked second in the world behind Harvard for the number of alumni in CEO positions at Fortune 500 companies.

Presidential visit from Temple University Japan
President Matthew J. Wilson of Temple University Japan Campus recently addressed students at Jindal Global Law School, sharing his extensive experience in international law and higher education leadership. He emphasized the importance of global engagement, cross-cultural understanding, and innovation in legal education. His insights provided students with a valuable perspective on navigating the evolving landscape of international legal practice and academia.

US Ambassador H.E. Eric Garcetti visits JGU
Ambassador Garcetti termed the ties between the US and India as “not an additive relationship but a multiplicative relationship” between the world’s two largest democracies, underscored by a robust exchange in education, trade, and the joint venture of envisioning a green energy future.
