JGU to celebrate 75th anniversary of adoption of India’s Constitution with month-long events

To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the adoption of India’s Constitution, and the inauguration of the country’s first Constitution Museum and The Rights & Freedoms Academy established at its campus, on November 26, O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) has organised a month-long celebration from November 4 to 25 as a prelude to the historic events. The month-long celebrations will end with the National Convention on the Constitution of India during November 23-25. Following this, JGU will hold the Dedication Ceremony of the Constitution Museum and The Rights & Freedoms Academy on November 26.

The National Convention on the Constitution of India is to be held from 23 to 25 November 2024.  The prestigious event takes place in the presence of the Hon’ble Speaker of Lok Sabha, Shri Om Birla; Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Nayab Singh Saini; Hon’ble Minister of State for Law and Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal; and Hon’ble Chancellor of JGU and Member of Parliament, Shri Naveen Jindal. This landmark event will bring together sitting judges of the Supreme Court of India, former Chief Justices of India, former judges of the Supreme Court of India and other judges, parliamentarians, several senior advocates, global legal scholars, lawyers, public intellectuals and media personnel. Following this, JGU will hold the Dedication Ceremony of the Constitution Museum on November 26 in the presence of several family members of those who were members of the Constituent Assembly.
