A 3 credit component of Dissertation has been conceived as a compulsory requirement for the students of LLM programme, over and above the course work. This dissertation will provide an opportunity to plan an original work, collect and analyze data and write up a project under the guidance of the supervisors. It is expected that this research work will provide them with a substantial experience of conducting a systematic independent research in a substantive area of study relevant to their areas of interest. Through different aspects of a research process, the students will learn to conceptualize a problem, identify sources of different kinds and also understand the potentialities and limitations of certain research methods. They are also expected to learn logical and analytical skills that are essential in interpreting and explaining data. Dissertation policy will be circulated to LLM students upon joining the course.
Grades and their values LLM students should maintain good academic standing by maintain a minimum of B+ GPA (in each course and overall) and meeting on time the deadlines in the course work, seminars, research paper writing.
