The M.A Public Policy (M.A.PP) programme at O.P. Jindal Global (Institution of Eminence Deemed To Be University) opens doors to the exciting world of public life. Students are equipped to serve development and policy sectors, and work in international organisations, civil service, social and development initiatives of corporations, and in think-tanks. They also acquire knowledge and skills needed for working as policy analysts and independent consultants for government and nongovernmental organisations, to enable the media to become more analytical and evidence-based, or even to establish their own organisations.

The University provides extensive assistance to graduating students for placements. A dedicated professional Placement and Career Development Cell conducts workshops on writing up student profiles, preparing them for job interviews, and offers individual counselling. JSGP graduates typically get employed on social sector/development driven projects, within the private sector, public sector and civil society organizations.

The rigorous course curriculum of the Public Policy Master’s programme imparts the necessary research and writing skill that is both personally rewarding for the graduate as well as essential and productivity enhancing for the hiring organization. Some among our first batch of graduates have also joined academics, as research assistants and research associates. This career pathway will enable them to seek a PhD, broadly within field of Development Studies or within one of the more specialized fields of Economics, Political Science or Sociology.
