Office of Doctoral Studies

JSGP is a research-driven school and is dedicated to generate knowledge that bridges academic rigor with realworld policy impact. JSGP is engaging with the contemporary policy nvironment, which demand new imaginations, new methodologies and revitalised ethics.

Scholars investigate how governments, institutions, markets, and communities interact in shaping development outcomes, drawing on insights from economics, political science, sociology, law, and data science.

The program also emphasizes analytical and methodological depth, encouraging the use of tools such as econometrics, impact evaluation, game theory, and behavioral economics to derstand complex policy challenges.

Students may employ both quantitative and qualitative approaches— ranging frome conometrics, impact evaluations, and game theory models to case studies, ethnography, and comparative analysis. The aim is to cultivate researchers who contribute to global academic debates while also producing actionable insights that inform policymaking at local, national, and international levels.
