Nishtha obtained her undergraduate Law degree B.B.A LL. B. (Hons.) with specialisation in Corporate Laws from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun in 2018. Thereafter, she worked in a boutique Legal Advisory Firm, SMA Legal Chandigarh, where she was actively engaged in diverse legal matters involving cross border legal issues. She is enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Uttarakhand.

She then went on to pursue Master of Laws (LL.M.) with specialisation in International Trade and Investment Laws from Jindal Global Law School. She is a recipient of the prestigious Dean’s award, 2020 for “Outstanding All-round Performance”. Besides, Nishtha had been an active student involved in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities throughout her Law school life. Being an avid mooter, she bagged awards in various International and National Moot court competitions. Her internship portfolio is quite diversified. She has interned with the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR), Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys, Reliance Jio InfoComm Limited, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited to name a few.

Not diminishing her intellectual curiosity, she has also completed the Summer Course on International law from Indian Society of International Law, New Delhi, and has attended virtual International Summer School on World Trade Organization and International Trade Law. She recently published a blog titled, “Peace clause’ at India’s rescue during COVID-19 pandemic?” and was declared as the winner of the best blog.
Nishtha researches and writes in the areas of International Trade Law, International Investment Law, Indirect taxation, Environmental Law, Human Rights Law, and Commercial Laws.

Besides academic interests, she loves to cycle, cook, and explore new cities and cultures
