The world of education has increased its efficacy intensively by collaborating with many other global partners and have been able to provide the desired degrees in much shortened duration, without compromising its quality. It has benefitted the students immensely, to spread their wings of knowledge in a much broadened spectrum and horizon, without stretching the much valuable time frame, which otherwise would have been required, if opted separately. An overall reduction of two years to earn a BA / BBA LLB or LLB degree and the JD degree, is a considerable gain for career building students. The JD degree is required if a student wants to practice law in the United States.
JGLS has inked historic MOUs with prominent American universities to establish Dual Degree Programmes. This will pave way for extraordinary opportunities for the students of JGLS to pursue a dual degree programme. The name of such universities are:
Cornell University Cornell Law School
Indiana University Bloomington Maurer School of Law (JD Programme)
University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law (JD Programme)
University of New Hampshire (Advanced JD Programme)
Tilburg University – Tilburg Law School (LLB Global Law)
Over the past years, we have witnessed the overwhelmed response of the students to go for the JD Programme at above mentioned universities.
An average time to earn a JD Degree is three years of full-time coursework. So a student of BA / BBA LLB and LLB could earn a JD Degree in eight and six years of time respectively, if gone separately. However, if nominated from the Home University a student of BA / BBA LLB and LLB can earn two degrees i.e. a degree from their Home University and a JD Degree, in a six and four years of time respectively. This reduction of two years does not in any way affect the rigorousness of the course, and it is done through extended exchange frameworks and credit transfers.
