LL.M. in Constitutional and Administrative Law

LL.M. in Constitutional and Administrative Law

In the broadest sense our constitution is the common thread that binds every other area of law and provides a system of checks and balances. It is the fundamental protector of people’s rights and what many lawyers consider to be the legal bible. The ability and imagination of a lawyer is expanded by and limited to the values enshrined in the constitution, the “higher law”. That’s why constitutional law is pursued in legal circles with great reverence.

The LL.M. in Constitutional and Administrative Law offers post graduate students a deeper dive into the most relevant constitutional discourse in India and abroad. The programme will equip students to understand the role of the constitution in shaping emerging laws and issues ranging from human rights to democracies. The courses under this specialization will offer students a mix of theoretical and empirical perspectives to analysing and understanding constitutional law and enable a nuanced mastery of the subject.
