Indian Universities needs to overcome the challenge of providing access to high quality education for a large number of young people while promoting aspirations to build institutions of global excellence”.

This year’s summit is being organised around the theme “Connecting Cities, Changing the World: Research Universities Building Asia”. The summit will focus on themes including universities and cities – building alliances, defining regions; global research and education – trends, opportunities and challenges; university alliances – research output defining regional strength; national innovation – universities as catalysts and connectors; the power of partnership: what global research universities bring to the innovation economy; fourth industrial revolution and higher education – cultivating entrepreneurship, leading the future; and bridging divides – research universities in the global knowledge economy. The summit will bring together university leaders, administrators, educators, thought leaders, Nobel laureates, and representatives of educational service firms from across the world.

This summit for JGU becomes a platform to understand the key challenges that Indian universities face as they prepare to work towards becoming world class universities. It will be a huge opportunity for JGU to position our university for the future in relation to this global ranking of universities and international benchmarking of academic institutions.
