The Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA) is India’s first school of Global Policy, established in 2015 and offers a dynamic undergraduate programme: a 4-year B.A. (Hons.) in Global Affairs. Conceptualised as India’s first ever interdisciplinary undergraduate degree, it shall train students for international careers through basic learning in world affairs. It will help students acquire a holistic understanding of political theories and international affairs, develop in-depth knowledge of a region by offering various study abroad programmes associated with top ranking educational institutions across the globe. This course will teach students how to systematically apply methodological research, analysis, and historically contextualise contemporary global events. It will aid in developing critical thinking abilities, practical and linguistic skills, and research aptitude which will enable programme graduates to consider a wide range of post-graduation employment options.
The growing intersectionality of international phenomena due to a greater density of cross-border communication and cooperation emphasizes the practical and academic use of multi-disciplined and methodologically complete studies. A school that combines the essences of International Relations, International Law and International Business is a necessity in our current international landscape simply because of the complexity and apparent intractability of certain international problems.
Progression to M.A. (DLB) : B.A. (Hons.) Global Affairs students who graduate at the end of 4 years will have a special opportunity to progress directly to JSIA’s Masters in Diplomacy, Law and Business – M.A. (DLB) programme, subject to high meritorious academic performance in the B.A. (Hons.) Global Affairs. Students can also opt for a second M.A. from Queen Mary University of London, UK; University of Leeds, UK; or University of Warsaw, Poland.
