Biography

Dr. Swetasree Ghosh Roy is a Professor of Political Science at Jindal School of Government and Public Policy, India and was previously Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at Zayed University, UAE. Born in India, Dr. Roy was educated at University of Calcutta, India and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science. After completing master’s degree in international relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, Dr. Roy joined Louisiana State University to pursue doctoral degree. She completed her graduate studies and was awarded Doctor of Philosophy in Politics and Government in 2009. Since then Dr. Roy has continued in academic career teaching undergraduate and post-graduate students. Dr. Roy’s research interests include international and domestic conflict processes, international institutions, political economy and comparative politics.
