Dr. Sonal Dua

Dr. Sonal Dua holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. She received an M.A. degree in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She was awarded a Centre for Development Economics (CDE) fellowship from CDE, DSE; Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) fellowship from ICSSR; and Junior Research Fellowship from UGC during her Ph.D. Her research areas of interest lie in industrial economics, mergers and acquisitions, sharing economy, and empirical development economics. She is also an Assistant Dean for Executive and Online Education.

Before joining JSGP, she has taught in several reputed colleges of the University of Delhi like Hansraj College, S.G.T.B. Khalsa College, Lakshmibai College and S.P.M. College. She has taught courses on Microeconomics, Mathematics, Macroeconomics, and Principles of Economics. She has worked as a Research Associate on the project entitled ‘Macro-econometric Modelling for India’ at Delhi School of Economics. She was also a member of the Indian delegation in first BRICS Youth Summit held in Russia in 2015.
