Biography

Mrinalini Jha is Associate Professor (Economics) and Associate Dean (Conferences and Academic Events) at the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy in O.P. Jindal Global University. She also serves as the Assistant Dean (Research Coordination and Quality Assurance) and Senior Research Fellow at IDEAS-Office of Interdisciplinary Studies at the University. Mrinalini is trained as an empirical development economist and is interested in issues of labour, inequality, inequality of opportunity, and structural transformation in the Indian economy. She completed her PhD from Delhi School of Economics at University of Delhi and did her post-doc from the Centre for Sustainable Employment at Azim Premji University. She has previously taught undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Delhi, and at Azim Premji University. Her current research interests include wage polarization over the skill spectrum of workers in the Indian labour market, along with its intersection with other social identities. She is also studying the economic outcomes of the Indian youth.
